Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup diced sweet onion
- 1 teaspoon dried cilantro
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 16 ounces salsa verde
- 15-ounces cannellini beans or Great Northern beans
- 1 pound (about 4 cups) shredded cooked chicken
- 32 ounces chicken broth or stock
Directions
- Heat oil during a massive pan over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook, stirring often for 4-5 minutes.
- Add cumin, cilantro, salt and pepper, still stir and cook for an additional one minute, till scented.
- Stir in condiment verde and produce to a simmer, stirring often.
- Add remaining ingredients, bring round a simmer. Salt and pepper to style, lower heat and cook lined for concerning twenty minutes.
- Garnish with cream, recent cilantro, chives or scallion.
